Inter Milan are having a busy few days in the transfer window as the Italian giants on Friday, July 1 announced the signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Andre Onana. The deals come days after Inter announced the stunning return of Romelu Lukaku on a loan move from Premier League club Chelsea.
Inter completed the signing of Mkhitaryan from Serie A rivals AS Roma and Onana from Ajax. Both Mkhitaryan and Onana were signed as free agents.
Mkhitaryan spent the past three seasons at Roma after spells in England with Manchester United and Arsenal.
The 33-year-old Armenia midfielder made more than 100 appearances for Roma and helped it win the Europa Conference league last season.
Mkhitaryan, who shone for Jose Mourinho’s Roma, could not agree to a contract extension at his previous club.
The spree of signings for Inter come days after chief executive Giuseppe Marotta said there would be a series of signings for the Italian giants, who are looking to reclaim the Series A title from AC Milan.
