Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer has suggested that England should have planned a tri-series instead of bilaterals with India and South Africa.

England are currently hosting India for a limited-overs series from July 7 to 17. After this England will play an all-format series, consisting of three ODIs, three T20Is and three Tests, against South Africa from July 19 to September 12.

“SA are in England. Their ODI series starts on 19th July. England v India ODI series finishes on 17th July. I think this could have been a really good Tri Series. Would have been great for the fans as well. Tri series > Bilaterals. #ENGvIND,” Jaffer tweeted.
